Re: Bailey: Sponsor Tube Stations to Rescue TFL Finances

Not sure about that one... in some instances it might work (e.g. Harrods instead of Knightsbridge) as Harrods is big enough and well-known enough that the two are almost synonymous anyway. After all, Lord's, The Oval and Arsenal all have or have had stations named after them. However in a lot of cas...

2894 is a novel written in 1894 by Walter Browne, describing a society of "dominant women and submissive men". Sounds pretty radical for its time!

Re: 384 bus route

I'd need to check some other times, but my initial check suggests it doesn't connect well at High Barnet with northbound Northern Line trains which connected out of MHE services.

Re: DLR challenge

Now that all woolwich arsenal to lewisham southeastern a call at woolwich dockyard (according to RTT)the time with that route seems unbeatable That depends on how tight the connections were previously at either end. Provided the service still 'fits' between a DLR train arriving at WA and one leavin...

Re: DLR challenge

I guess it depends on your running speed/level of fitness and how long you might otherwise have to wait for a returning DLR at Woolwich Arrsenal. According to Google Maps, it is a 21 minute walk from Woolwich Arsenal (WA) station to North Woolwich Police Station (NWPS) bus stop. (Note that this does...

Trying to work out why you'd want to - I guess you'd be going up to Watford and across to the Overground. Hadn't thought of that one!

Re: The Raven Alternative Challenge ideas

Depends on whether you see the cable car as a fruitless gimmick or a legit and useful mode of transport. I see it as a tourist attraction, others may beg to differ. For VAT purposes, anything you can board at one point and disembark (and leave the station) somewhere else counts as public transport ...

Re: 1st FNC advice pls

I did come up with an "improved Labyrinth" a few years ago which got round that problem but I think I introduced another issue somewhere else if memory serves (or the timetable changed!). There are still (AFAIK) about 20 stations closed at the moment so a FNC can't be done until they reopen. Good lu...

Normally I would have had lunch on the move, but with a facemask this was impossible.
You are allowed to remove your mask to eat and drink on the train.
