Re: Birmingham R15

Might it not work out cheaper still for someone to catch the Chiltern service to Leamington, buy their DayTripper plus there, then catch the next train to Birmingham (that doesn't go via Coventry!)

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 3

promptly got lost looking for Edgware Road (Cir) . Easily done - I remember on one R15 I'd got off to a blinding start until I tried to do the ER(Bak)-ER(Circle) run, having never done it before... I managed to run past it, then, not seeing any sign of it in the distance, got on a bus(!), only real...

Re: London Bus 24

I'm intrigued by this one - I'm trying to see if it could be done in Reading! Couple of queries about the rules: 1) Must the buses be done in numerical order? 2) I assume the complete route must be travelled rather than just one stop (otherwise it's just a fairly simple scaled down version of All Th...

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 3

Having strained my Achilles making a tight change of trains at Swansea 10 days ago, I was in two minds whether or not to take part today but eventually decided to, with a firm resolution that I would only walk and not run. That resolution lasted about as long as it took to get the envelope open.... ...

Re: Dastardly difficult trivia quiz

I don't think it's one of the Gang of Four, as most of their seats have been abolished. Are we, for the purposes of this question, counting the Liberals, SDP, and Lid Dems as separate parties, or would a constituency previously held by the SDP or Liberals and since held by the LDs count as one party...

A DLR departure from Stratford would also not be valid as DLR is not part of the Twist.

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 3

If Hackney Wick was drawn and I took the rail replacement service from Stratford, would that count as visiting Stratford? Or do we need to leave on a physical train? What Stratford is the official one that needs visiting / departing from - LU or otherwise? From Tangy's description above, Stratford ...

Following on to that thought - Brooklands?
Correct! :-)

One of the garage buildings now forming part of Brooklands Museum was used as a polling station in the 1990s/early 2000s.
