Also one of the first WW1 pilots to use a synchroniser to prevent the machine gun in his cockpit shooting his propeller to bits!

So, it will always suggest .... that you can ... take a direct train from Central London to Mill Hill East.
You can! Just never when you actually want to! (I think on one R15 I either saw or rode on 5 MHE-bound services, a day after GU had had a FNC break down because he couldn't get there!)

Re: Random 15 Championship 2018/19: Round 4

Interesting that the last three starts have all been around the NW corner of the Circle Line - Paddington, Baker Street, and now GPS (what did Edgware Road do wrong?). The first start of the season (Cannon Street, for the Cannon Street Run) was also on the Circle Line! Has there been a previous seas...

Or the Harry Beck Challenge.... Based on his iconic 1933 map. Met only as far as Watford and Rickmansworth. Bakerloo to Watford Junction (use Overground today), Northern only as far as Highgate, Moorgate to Finsbury Park (use Great Northern today), Central only as far as Liverpool Street, East Lond...

Board Game

I've been doing some testing of a board game idea I had a little while ago. Re: Night tube

I've been working through a variety of combinations of Hainault loop and GOBLIN over the weekend.

Best I've found so far is a Walthamstow - Leytonstone - Epping - Woodford - Hainault but timings vary considerably depending on exactly when you travel.

Re: Random 15 Championship 2018/19: Round 3

How not to do a Tube Challenge, Episode 3. "I think I'll go through life just catching colds and missing trains..." - Frank Sinatra I'd been 'practising' since Tangy released the starting station by running the generator a couple of times a day and trying to work out routes. It helped in that it mad...
