Re: FNC on a Saturday = ??

No stations are regularly closed at weekends, although most of the time there is at least one section of track closed due to engineering works so only a few weekends will work.

What's the Cannon Street Run this year?
R15 again so will presumably double up with Round 1 of the 2018/19 championship on 15 or 22 September.

Re: New York subway conundrum

The D track at 7 Av. As a result the D trains can't use their usual route through Manhattan so are being diverted via the C line between Columbus Circle and West 4 St. However the C only connects to the F route to Coney Island and not the normal D route, so the D and F have to swap around in Brookly...

Just to note that Northern line Bank branch trains will not be stopping at Kennington from 26th May until mid-September. Charing Cross branch trains will continue to stop as normal. Probably won't affect most zone 1 routes, but might be more relevant for the R15.

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

Yes, the Parkrun website uses the administrative boundary of Greater London.

The only one that is arguable is Riddlesdown, where part of the course is in Greater London and part in Surrey.

Re: Tube Olympics 2018: Event 5- Full Network

I finish work at midday - wonder if a route finishing 6am the next day would be legit! As long as you keep your watch running I guess you can finish anytime before the final results are revealed at the pub on Saturday... Would have to stop for parkrun too! If you time it right you could run from Ed...

Re: Sadiq Khan(t) blocks CRL funding

Quite right too. The benefit of this scheme to people who actually live in London is fairly negligible, and TfL should not be expected to pay for it.

There is an entrance in Turnmill Street as well, although I think that is only open in the peaks.

Re: Dastardly difficult trivia quiz

I don't think you have to visit any station twice? It may involve some implausible runs, but there is always a theoretical alternative to doubling back. Eg you could start Amersham - Chalfont - Chesham - run to Chorleywood to avoid passing through Chalfont a second time.

The TfL track closures PDF http://content.tfl.gov.uk/track-closures.pdf shows a closure Baker Street - Hammersmith / High Street Ken on the subsurface lines It looks like the TfL Rail closure is only on the Sunday. Surprised they bother running a shuttle just from Liverpool Street to Stratford when ...

The TOC (Tube Olympics Committee) has concluded that London (UK) will be the host city for the 2018 event.
I love the diversity of cities we have for this. I wonder where it will be held next year ...
Don't be silly, everyone knows there is no Olympics in 2019!

I'm afraid I haven't done any updates to this since 2010! It looks like the timetable data is now being released in a different format, so my old macro wouldn't work anyway.

Although because of the prestigious R15 Championship happening today, TfL have kindly agreed to keep it open until 1900 tonight, just in case it might come in useful.
