Re: Dastardly difficult trivia quiz

Interesting idea for a question, although I think there must be quite a few others that meet that criterion as well. David Essex Tasmin Archer Queen Whitney Houston Jay-Z Depending on exactly how the question is phrased, you could add slightly more tenuous ones like Kanye West or the Manic Street Pr...

I have made the difficult decision to POSTPONE Round 4 of the Random 15 Championship until a later date.
Just to add my support to your decision. In the current climate, it is appropriate to postpone this event. Stay well everyone.
I see TfL have shut you down until further notice anyway!

Re: This bus is under attack!

I've heard that one before. I don't see the point of it, surely if there was an emergency the control room should be alerted automatically, rather than just hoping someone happens to pass by and hear it.

The Masker is still around and obviously worried about coronavirus! Taken on a train from Euston this evening.

Re: Birmingham R15

after much consideration I will put my name down for this. Just a note for Londoners, the last fast Virgin train is 21:10 (there are other London Midland departures after this but they are all slow as they call at virtually every single station)! There is a 2130 West Coast as well arriving into Eus...

Re: Birmingham R15

I think it would be better to just stick to the area covered by the ticket and avoid the complications/expense of extra tickets. Will you include Bordesley in the draw? While it does have one train on Saturdays, if it was selected in the list, it would probably mean everyone having very similar rout...

Re: Dastardly difficult trivia quiz

I don't think the line necessarily needs to go through the exact centre of the Earth, although it will probably go quite close to the centre. A line between two high mountains that does not pass through the centre might be longer than a line between two lower points that are exactly antipodal.

Re: Dastardly difficult trivia quiz

I think it would be a straight line from the top of a mountain to the top of another mountain. So the question is basically asking where the longest line of sight on the Earth is (assuming perfect conditions).

Re: Birmingham R15

I'm interested. Is there a full list of stations - the website isn't very clear. It looks like the ticket is only valid as far as Kidderminster, not Worcester? Is the Redditch line included?
