What about Abbey Wood?
Yes Abbey Wood is definitely in south London and on Crossrail so should be included when it opens (as should the Woolwich Arsenal Crossrail station as I believe that would be separate from the current NR/DLR station).

Please may I submit a time of 2:00:50.39 from this afternoon? Also, as for the route, should I send it over via direct message?
You can send the route for verification purposes via the dedicated email address on Explorer Ticket or send me a direct message.

Re: Birmingham R15

If a station is shown as a request stop in the timetable but no one requests that stop then a pass through of the station is accepted. I would amend this to: "If a station is shown as a request stop in the timetable and the train is booked to call but no one requests that stop then a pass through o...

Re: Birmingham R15

after much consideration I will put my name down for this.

Just a note for Londoners, the last fast Virgin train is 21:10 (there are other London Midland departures after this but they are all slow as they call at virtually every single station)!

Re: Top Times - DLR Challenge

Now then... Geoff has just posted a video with his attempt (and gave Tangy's website a good amount of publicity this time), but his interpretation of the rules surrounding the final station was that he's stopped his stopwatch when the train started to move. I'm not sure that counts, does it? But th...

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 3

Here are the results of Round 3 of the 2019/20 Random 15 Championship held on Saturday 11th January 2020. This was a twist round with National Rail (and Overground/Crossrail) stations added into the mix alongside the usual LU stations in zones 1 and 2 only. The stations were: --Stratford (meet up/st...

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 3

If Hackney Wick was drawn and I took the rail replacement service from Stratford, would that count as visiting Stratford? Or do we need to leave on a physical train? As per rule 2.5 of the Random 15 Championship: " Although the challenge starts at station 1 on the randomly generated list, challenge...

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 3

Anyone know what platform I need at Stratford for Greater Anglia service to Romford? On the 11th January? You want the 0825 Witham train on platform 10 at Stratford... Yes, there are some mainline trains that do stop at Romford from platform 10 and take around 8 minutes to do the journey from Strat...

To clarify, here is a list of what stations are to be included in the challenge: --All LU stations in zones 1-2. (except those closed for engineering work) --All Overground stations in zones 1-2. --NR Stations counted as separate from the above: All London Terminals, Battersea Park, Bethnal Green, B...

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 2

Thanks for your patience, here are the very delayed results to round 2 of the Random 15 Championship which took place on the 16th November 2019. This was a normal round, so 15 stations on the London Underground network only within zones 1 and 2. However with large parts of the sub-surface lines clos...

So it isn't an OSI at Blackhorse Road between Victoria line and Overground?
No, as Blackhorse Road only has one set of barriers for both modes, you can change between the Victoria Line and GOBLIN without passing through the barriers.

Richie Firth does the Overground Challenge

I had an email from Chris Skinner and Richie Firth "Travel Hacker" about an attempt for the Overground Challenge which he did in 10:41:00. They made a series of podcasts about this attempt and how they hope to set a new world record. The interesting podcasts can be heard here: Part 1: https://audiob...
