Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

Well it’s finally here this weekend sees the start of Lands End parkrun. It will be the Mainlands most westerly and most southerly parkrun. Also likely to be one of the windiest courses as well wind gusting to over 100mph recorded last weekend. So should be fun.

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

Didn’t make parkrun in the end foot still to sore to run on SWR not very helpful with train times due to engineering work. Now starts a run of volunteering locally.

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

Izzy and I were at Clapham Common today to quietly bring up the Half Cowell. It was a nice gentle jog around multiply niggles making running a little uncomfortable at the moment.

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

We were at the 7th Anniversary of Plym Valley. To celebrate they laid on the parkrun express from Marsh mills to Plym Bridge. Which I think is the first train to be specially laid on for parkrun.

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 1

£4.20 for a coke is a joke. I like the pub, but was a little surprised that a pint of cider and a pint of coke from the squirty dispenser thing came to £8.80. I like the pub but it has got very pricey £5.10 for a pint of Cider and their no screen policy is a bit tedious. It might be time to find a ...

Re: Snake Challenge - The Return

Sorry not going to make it as R15 is the week after. And can’t come up for both. Which is a shame as it’s a fun challenge.

I think I still have the fastest time @ 5 hours 55 mins set 01/09/2006 as part of tubefest.

Just noticed we didn't have an update this week double?
I think Soup Dragon is on holiday. So I doubt there will be any updates till he returns.

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

Bit stupid to drive 120 miles to parkrun and thn the same back again, but Tawd Valley parkrun was fantastic. Proper course of two halves, the first half was an urban cyclepath under 4 underpasses, the second half was a narrow, muddy trail through a pretty river valley. Just the one lap too. I reali...

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

After my recent bit of tourism I was looking at my nearest event not done yet which is Tamar Trails 66 miles away. Or in my case train, bus and a run to get there.
Edit actually Coach at 3:45, train ,bus then walk. So is doable if I fancy pulling my carcass out of bed at 2:45 in the morning.

Just been looking at the Lon done table and I’m at 50% not bad for someone who lives 270 miles away.

It certainly looks like Earls Court District line is closed as all journeys I tried on JP route you via Picc line for that section.

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

An update to where our runners figure in the Most Events category, (position in brackets is from 20JAN19) Soup Dragon is now included and Das is the biggest riser up from 1419 to 1212. Andi would be slightly higher, had his result at East Brighton not been messed up. 90 (104) Andi 138 (143) Going U...

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

Results have been rejigged at Heartlands thankfully as I had run a course best time of 24.30 and had managed to sneak inside the top 20 but was given 24:51 and 20th place. So correct time now official nice to go sub 25 two weeks running. Back to marshalling next week as running an off road half mara...
